Internationally known for his influential contribution to the contemporary Pop Surrealism movement, Caesar has acquired an international fan base for his digital constructions that challenge the terrain of “terrible beauty”. Through previous practice with film production programs (resulting in a Gemini and a Monitor award as well as a nomination for an Emmy), combined with 17 years at the Art and Photography department at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, Caesar has adopted 3D modeling software techniques that allow him to create explicit, painterly models and environments with captivating photographic textures.
Over the past five years, he has been exhibiting extensively in art fairs including Art Basel, Art London, and the Affordable Art Fair in Belgium. His work has been collected by major celebrities including Madonna, Jennifer Nicholson (Jack Nicholson's daughter), Marilyn Manson, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Shirley Manson of Garbage, and Ricardo Tisci of the Givenchy fashion house, to name a few.
